– When the dust has died down, it would be important for ANC members in Alfred Nzo to truly reflect on the current state of the ANC in the region, and be honest about it.
– Being a revolutionary obligates one to objectively observe conditions for what they are , and provide concrete analysis of the concrete conditions
– The current conditions in the region present a very difficult moment for the ANC as it finds itself having to suffer in the hands of those who claim to love it, its members.
– Political intolerance has reached boiling levels, depriving the organisation an opportunity to self reflect, self correct and renew the organisation
– There were always signs and build ups to this equilibrium, hence the ANCYL in the region has always reiterated that in it’s current form, the ANC REC which later was converted into ANC RTT, might find it difficult to deliver a credible conference.
– The state of the ANC in the region leaves one with very few options, and convening a congress being the last, given the current challenges.
– Difficult decisions must be taken, which shall include reconfiguration of the current ANC RTT to strengthen its capacity to not only deliver a credible conference but also unite ANC members, restore confidence, decorum and discipline of the ANC.
