The EFF Provincial Secretary Simthembile Madikizela who is accused of rape.

“Madikizela came back saying into emnandi iyaphindwa”

The Economic Freedom Fighters Secretary in the Eastern Cape Simthembile Madikizela is in the hot water following rape allegations making rounds on social media platforms. This development has lead the victim to formally opening a case  at Tembisa Police Station in Gauteng with the case number (2025-04-13), and the case is expected to be transferred to Mount Ayilff Police station when the incident took place

According to the victim Zuzeka Nama narrating the events of that day leading to the rape incident that had initially happened in April 2021.  Nama who was a Student Command leader at Ingwe TVET Collage says she got a call from Kananelo Mbele who was also an EFF Student Command leader at Ingwe TVET back in 2021 inviting her to a party at Matatiele , according to Nama she heisted but Mbele managed to convince her saying she will pay for her transport fee then she decided to go, upon her arrival to the venue Madikizela said ‘this one is mine’ pointing at her. Nama shares she was uncomfortable at first because it was her first time being surrounded by her leaders, but eventually she got used to it as they were drinking. She claims later that night Madikizela and other EFF political leaders convinced them to go to Mount Ayliff where they arrived at a BnB booked by Kananelo. “Back then I did not know Kananelo was a pimp and she was pimping girls to the senior regional leaders of the EFF,” she said.

Narrating down how did the rape occurred, Nama says when they were about to go to sleep her and Kananelo,  Kananelo acted dramatic saying all kinds of things to a point that she had to leave the room saying she is going to fetch her phone. While she was left alone Nama says she decided to take a shower while showering   she heard a knock, and to her surprise it was Simthembile Madikezela . According to her, Madikizela started touching her as naked she was, then the next minutes it was sex. Nama claims she could not push or say no due to the shock, as she was intoxicated, after he was done he left the room. “Immediately after that I got dressed then went to sleep, after a while Madikizela came back for more saying ‘Into emnadi iyaphindwa’ but I refused then he left the room saying no means no,” said Nama.  In the following morning Nama described the situation as clam but confusing as Madikizela kept referring to her as ‘baby’.

Nama further says a month later she found out she was pregnant, according to her calculations it matched that day. “Because I did not have Madikizela’s contact details I told Kananelo Mbhele about what happened, then later I got a call from him,” she said. The victim continued by saying at first she initially wanted to abort but Madikizela convinced her not to, saying he will support the child which she eventually kept. Zuzeka Nama highlighted the  emotional abuse she endued,  also mentioning how Madikizela manipulated  her into think they are in a romantically relationship to a point that when she was four months pregnant the EFF Provincial Secretary started sanding her some money saying it is for her cravings.

As emotional as she was, Nama continued with her story, mentioning that due to Madikizela’s behaviour towards her, she suggested a DNA test to a point when the  baby was born she carried her baby to Madikizela to demand a DNA test saying she will pay with her NSFAS money but her attempts failed. Nama further says due to what was happening, she was later diagnosed with depression that led her giving  Madikizela  the child to leave with him for a week but a week turned into a month. “ After spending that time with my child, he came back demanding a DNA test which I agreed, I even asked him what documents should I bring, he’s reply  was nothing just bring the child,” she said. Continuing Nama said indeed she arrived at Kokstad and the accused took them to the lab near Caltax garage, where  she was told the procedure of the DNA test. “Indeed the blood test was done but right after that , the ladies who were helping us they asked for my ID and the birth certificate of the child, I then asked Madikizela to provide the cope of the birth certificate I sent him , he said he does not have it anymore. The situation forced me to go to Home Affairs for temporal documents, surprisingly on my way back to the lab Madikizela and his friends were laughing and that is where he told me he found that birth certificate,” said Nama.   The victim claims the results came back in less than five days and they were negative.

Nama says she finally got the courage to open a case now because back in 2022 when she broke her silence on social media many members of the Economic Freedom Fighters did not believe her calling her all sorts of names.

“I saw allegations on social media I know nothing about them,” explained Simthembile Madikizela when this publication was speaking to him with regards to this matter.
